Ryan West may not have gotten my attention in Taming The Bachelor, but her certainly did in Taming The Playboy. Ryan not only got my attention, but he stole my heart. He is almost too perfect, almost.Playboy Ryan West is the ultimate playboy. He has a different girl every night, he has a set of rules that he lives by, and he knows from personal experience that life is short, and that it can be taken away from you at a moments notice. He uses this mindset to take advantage of the golden opportunity that is presented to him in the form of a one-night stand with his best friend's soon to be sister-in-law, Layla.
Layla Barringer has just moved to LA to be closer to her sister Sophie. Sophie is now happily engaged to Mark Moretti, and they are expecting a their first child. She's a rebel, she doesn't do relationships, and she loves living her life in the fast lane. Layla can sense Ryan's playboy ways from a mile away. She decides on one night of wild passion with the incredibly sexy personal trainer.
One night turns into something more. There is a very intense connection between Ryan and Layla. A growing attraction to each other becomes impossible to fight. Personal tragedy and family dilemmas add strain to the already rocky start to the two people who have vowed that they don't do relationships.
I can't really go into much more of the story without giving it all away, but I will say that M.J. Carnal has written another amazing story filled with angst, passion, LOADS of hot sex, and a truly touching undertone. I am so attached to every single one of these characters. I love that even though this is Ryan's story, Mark and Sophie's continues on, and the book sets up what will continue in Taming The Boy Next Door, Caleb's book. I can't wait to read more!

REVIEW
WOW I don't even know where to start without giving the whole book away. So I guess the only place to start is with Ryan. He is for sure a playboy! He was crazy and lived life to the max! We meet both Layla and Ryan in book one and I knew there was chemistry but WOW was I thrown for a loop with this one. I was like you could feel the sexual tension radiating out of the pages (on kindle lol)
Once we finally got a feel for them and we were so excited everything was going to work out BAM! everything changes and I was thrown for a loop I can honestly say I cried my eyes out for most of this book! I was devastated and felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest! M.J. was able to pull me into her book and I swear I was stuck crippled from heartbreak I couldn't stop reading. I read the whole thing in one sitting and when I finished I wanted to start it all over again just so I could have more. This is one of those books you just cant help but fall in love with. I dont want to really give anything away to those of you that did not get to read it yet so I wont really touch base on the actual story just please know. You NEED to read this book like ASAP! You will not regret it.

I don't know where to begin. This book tore me apart. I didnt like Layla AT ALL in book 1 and the very beginning of book 2 ...but i can honestly say, she redeemed herself 1000% and I grew to love her very much.
Ryan, damn.... I loved him from the start, but the man broke me .... I so very rarely cry, but Ryan had me sobbing my heart out. I had been crushing on Mark big time, and then along came Ryan and stole my heart. There is one sentence, one scene that sticks with me. I think about it over and over. Unfortunately I cant say what it is because it would be a huge spoiler so you will have to read it and find out yourself !!
This book is very well written and the subject matter was crushing to me at times but handled so very well. The emotion gripped me and never let me go. and just like book 1, I could not put this book down. I haven't gotten one thing done around the house in 2 books ....
I would absolutely recommend this book and this series .... now i am on to Caleb. Be gentle with me !!
This is yet another book that has been sitting on my since 2014 and I'm really glad I finally got round to reading it. Apparently I read the first and third in the series and didn't really enjoy them all that much judging from my reviews so I'm glad I didn't read them first this time. The book was a quick read but packed full of angst, sex, and love. I liked how the gang gathered strength from each other and were like a big family. They took this job serious;y for both Marc and Ryan. I was a little confused with the cast of characters especially since reading this book out of sequence and it's been a few years, but I figured everyone out quickly enough. A heartfelt story and I may just pick up Kevin's story now.
